Climate skeptics roast Al Gore on global warming

NEW YORK (Reuters) – Al Gore, who won the Nobel Peace Prize and an Oscar for his environmental advocacy, was the main target on Monday at a conference of dissident scientists skeptical of his views on global warming.

Several speakers at the conference on climate change whose theme was “Global warming is not a crisis,” took pot-shots at the ex-vice president and his film, “An Inconvenient Truth,” which won last year’s Academy Award for best documentary.





Research Firm Expects PS3 Price To Drop Again

Research firm iSuppli has come out and stated that 2008 is likely to be the breakout year for the PS3, thanks to a price cut, and many Wii owners graduating and buying a Sony PS3.

Analyst Pamela Tufegdzic told Reuters “We anticipate Sony will have another price slash on the PS3 this year, and come Christmas, consumers who originally bought the Wii, will likely purchase the PS3.”





Eddie’s Ailments Put Van Halen on Hold

The music hasn’t died, it’s just under the weather.

Four upcoming stops on Van Halen’s reunion tour have been postponed due to an unidentified illness currently afflicting frontman Eddie Van Halen, concert promoter Live Nation announced Monday.

According to Eddie’s physician, “he is undergoing a battery of comprehensive medical tests to determine a defined diagnosis and recommended medical procedures,” the company said in a statement.
