Grateful mom Nancy Clark spent months organizing a major fundraiser for the Hospital for Sick Children. Then she learned her big night would collide with Earth Hour.
“I had it booked. The tickets were printed and then I saw the `60′ logo in the Toronto Star,” said the Oakville woman. “Everybody all over the world was planning to shut down their lights … And I was having a fundraiser. I was terrified.”
There was no way she could change the date for her second annual Do You Believe in Magic? event, her way of thanking the hospital and the team that three years ago saved the life of her now-18-year-old daughter.
